WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Red River is located in the middle of the national forest, so please keep in mind the following things:

  • All rooms are non-smoking. As such, ash trays can be found around the property. Please ensure you put cigarettes out and into these receptacles. As Smokey the Bear says..... ONLY YOU can prevent forest fires!

  • You will find trash cans up and down Main St. as well as dumpsters every couple of blocks. Please do your part in keeping Red River beautiful and don't litter!

  • Wildlife:

    • In and around Red River, you'll find: black bear, chipmunk, mule deer, elk, bobcat, mountain lions, bighorn sheep, and others. Never approach an animal. There are wild and unpredictable,  no matter how calm they appear to be.

    • NEVER FEED WILDLIFE! Animals that become dependent on human food may become habituated or aggressive towards humans and have to be killed. "A fed bear is a dead bear!" Keep all food, garbage, or other smelly items packed away when not in use. Speaking of garbage, all town dumpsters are bear proof, so please make sure you close and secure them properly.

THANK YOU!

We are a small family business and have put these policies in place in order to take care of our guests and keep prices down. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding. We sincerely look forward to your visit at The Riverside and thank you for choosing us! Enjoy your vacation!
